Claris E-mailer Lite is an E-mail client for the Mac. It is one of the most easy to use e-mail client. It is free and is a default e-mail client when you purchase a new Mac or install the Internet software. The setup of Emailer Lite is one step process if you use Internet Config else you can feed in the data into the setup manually.

1. Open Claris Emailer by double clicking on its icon. It should be present in your Internet Applications folder inside Internet folder on your hard disk. An alias could also be there depending that you have not removed it.

2. From the Setup menu go to the preference and check the settings. Look at this image and configure according to your needs.

3. I t is easier to use the Internet Config check box. Claris will automatically fill in the data for you. If you have not setup Internet Config , check this page out and then come back here.

4. Now you are ready to send and receive emails using Claris Emailer. The documentation provided might not be sufficient, but the software is easy enough to learn fast. Click on everything you see on screen. A fault is not fatal.

5. Click on the Outbox tab to find the button to write new mail. You can use the menus for most of your work. You can send the new mail immediately or queue it up for sending later on.

6. To send a file as attachments click on the attachment icon. It looks like a paper clip. Select the file and attach it.

7. Remember the default attachment Encoding is BinHex ( a Macintosh only format). If unsure about the receivers machine, send the file as Base 64. It is MIME compatible and can be opened by most operating systems. And remember to uncheck the compress file check box too. It is important todo these steps.
